On Saturday, July 31st from 10 AM to 12 noon, Rev. Dr. Shannon A. Holmes will deliver a powerful message for women going through each seasonal transition and how to move beyond the crisis or coping with the struggles of life.

Dr. Holmes realized she had a calling to make a difference in the life of others early in life. Upon her graduation from Dillard University in New Orleans, and the University of Detroit Mercy School of Law, she began a very successful career in public service. Her career aspirations led her to become appointed to serve as a Judge in the State of Michigan 36th District Court in 2011. Dr. Holmes was elected to serve as a Judge by the residents of the City of Detroit in November 2014. Later, Dr. Holmes earned a doctorate degree at the Ecumenical Theological Seminary of Detroit.

As a dutiful servant leader, Dr. Holmes is currently a member of Renaissance Baptist Church of Detroit under the leadership of the senior pastor and her husband, Rev. Dr. Edwin H. Holmes. She is an ordained minister who exemplifies a humble spirit and willingness to serve the church and community. Dr. Holmes has a God-given passion for women’s issues and is dedicated to ministering to all of God’s people, especially women.

This extraordinary woman of God delivers a powerful and dynamic message to women going through each seasonal transition and instructions on how to move beyond the crisis mentality or coping with the struggles of life. She has a God-given passion for women’s issues and loves empowering women and encouraging them to live their dreams. She challenges women to search for meaning and purpose in their lives.

Her presentation will engage the audience and assist women with finding a vision and discovering joy in all seasons of their life.

You will be able to select one of the breakout sessions prior to the seminar.

Winter – a season of reverence

The Winter Woman goes through a season of loss and/or grief. She can also be described as a woman who in the winter of life, meaning the woman is in the late stages of adulthood. This season is filled with much agitation and turbulence.

Spring – a season of renewal and growth

The Spring Woman is on her way to a new beginning. She chooses hope, joy, goodwill, and forgiveness. She has let some things go in her past and now moving forward in a direction of excitement and awakenings, The Spring woman is radiant and full of energy just like the Spring.

Summer – a season of rest and renewal

The Summer Woman faces a season of flowering, richness, and personhood. This woman defines who she is and what she wants with confidence in pursuing her goals. She values herself and is nurtured by how others value her as well. She understands the importance of her worth.

Autumn – a season of introspection

The Autumn or Fall Woman embraces a time of giving and renewing. This woman must remind herself to be patient during this season and understand the process of growth. This woman perseveres while waiting on the harvest. She gives from her harvest and sows seeds into others.

Each session will have a facilitator to lead the discussion.

This virtual event will be held on Saturday, July 31st, from 10 AM to 12 noon.
